The square is a surface floating above the moat that defines the medieval city. Bridges for pedestrians and vehicles join the old city to the new. The square's surface folds to produce seating areas and is punctured to connect to the underlying level of the moat. The latter is viewed as a field of flows of parallel and different activities and materials that constitute a linear urban park.
