Due to its size, the library surpasses the architectural and reaches the urban scale constituting a microcosm of activities. The library building is made by its book-stacks: they take up 50% of its surface, define all its different spaces and support its immense horizontal roof. The three-dimensional orthogonal grid of book-stacks is enclosed by glass surfaces and incorporates -as voids or solids- all remaining programs of the building. As if in a new archaeological excavation site, when one is submerged into the books knowledge is revealed to him.
